Rare Supports Game Makers of the Future at Get Into Games Birmingham

We kicked off the year with a fantastic day at Get Into Games Birmingham, a brand new careers event by our friends at Into Games, created to help people aged 12–25 across the Midlands discover their path into games. We were proud as punch to have sponsored the event, as a studio with deep roots in the region with an ongoing strategy to help nurture game makers of the future!

A mighty crew of 11 Rareites from across disciplines including art, engineering, audio, production and more spent the day chatting with attendees about their ambitions in building games. Our stand was buzzing all day with questions, curiosity and excited conversations about what a future in games might look like.

Our very own Monetisation Lead Louise also took to the main stage to give an inspiring talk on the huge variety of roles that are involved in making games. Her session joined other inspiring talks from a mix of good folks across the local games industry. 

The whole event felt full of creativity, optimism from those ready to take their next step. As a studio that’s been making games in this region for over 40 years, supporting an event like this right on our doorstep felt close to our hearts.
