Where do I find Kinect Sports Gems?
Check out the Kinect Central area of your Xbox LIVE dashboard.
Do I need to sign in to play?
Any number of players can play on one profile using the photo leaderboard, which is shared across all profiles on your console. Any additional profiles signed in will also share any achievements earned.
How do I go up in rank?
Complete the bite-sized mini-missions in each game to earn stars, and after a certain number of stars are collected, you'll go up a rank. There are 10 ranks to be attained in each game.
Can the games be played online?
No, these versions focus on maximum satisfaction in solo play and same-room local multiplayer, hence the easy jump-in jump-out play and local photo leaderboards.
How does the trial system work?
One title from the Kinect Sports Gems range will be free to download and play – but not keep – every week, cycling through all those available (first wave comprises three games, this total increasing as the second and third waves arrive).
Why upgrade to the full versions?
Photo leaderboards, achievements, mission progress and ranks can only be saved in the full purchased version of each game. Any achievement criteria met in a trial version will unlock the achievement when you upgrade to the full version.
Who created Kinect Sports Gems?
Development duties on these versions were split between Rare and external developer Sproing, based on original Kinect Sports events by Rare and Kinect Sports: Season Two events by Rare and BigPark.

For one or two players. Crouch to build up speed, jump up as you hit the green zone on ramps and lean left or right to steer between flags – you'll incur time penalties at the end if you don't. Swing your arms to boost out of the starting gate, or if Kinect voice control is active in your territory, say "Let's go"!
Darts Vs Zombies
For one player. Don't let the undead make it to your pizza! There are only three slices and once they're gone, you're done. Take aim, pull your arm back to lock, then throw – but don't be too slow. Boost your score by nailing those zombies on the double and triple rings. Set off bombs for easy crowd clearance!
3 Point Contest
For one player. This is it: time to show your long shot skills. Raise your arms above your head, jump and throw! Score as many baskets as you can in the five shots you're given before switching position to another part of the court. Sink every fifth ball to keep your time topped up. How many rounds can you last?
For one player. Pack two racquets to keep differently coloured balls on the court! Swing your arms to return red balls with the red racquet and yellow balls with the yellow racquet, staying alert for colour changes. Good technique triggers multi-ball bonuses, but how many of those can you keep in play at once?
For one player. Come on down and take up a side-on golfing stance in front of the conveyor belt, then swing at the prizes as they rumble past! You've got one minute to build up a good haul of winnings by successfully landing prizes on the star target. Avoid penalties by letting breakable items roll by untouched!
Field Goal Contest
For one player. Focus your American Football skills on one element of the game: field goals! Judge the angle and distance of each shot, adjust for wind speed and kick to fire the ball between the uprights. Take too long and the points on offer start to drop! Long-distance bonus ball chances can keep you in the game.
10 Frame Bowling
For one or two players. Take to the lane and play through a full match against a friend, family member or a computer opponent. Pull back your Bowling arm, swing forward and release the ball, bringing your arm across your body to add a little spin. Highest total score wins. How many strikes can you rack up?
For one player. Be ready for the ball target and use your arms, legs, body or head to hit it and block each of the striker's shots! Each ball that gets past you uses up one of your three chances. Reaching certain save totals can earn you an extra chance, but let in too many goals and your time as the keeper is up!
For one or two players. Face off against a friend, family member or computer opponent. Serve by tossing the ball into the air, swing to hit so that it bounces on the far side of the net and get ready to rally. Swing early for best results. Mix it up by adding an upward motion for topspin or a downward motion for backspin!
