30/11/09: November in Twitterland
For the benefit of those who have outrageously chosen not to follow Rare on Twitter, we thought we'd compile a little 'best of' to let you know what you've been missing. It's where all the action is, baby. |
|
At the start of November we'd just returned from the Eurogamer Expo in London, so we had a few pics to share: show floor shots here and here, and the Rare stand at the GamesIndustry.biz career fair here and here. Previously unseen bonus shots: show floor before most of the punters descended here, queue as viewed through a chair and some railings here. We also raved about spotting not just Charles Martinet but also Jason Bradbury from The Gadget Show. Well, we don't get out much. Other non-Expo photo madness stemmed from a couple of birthdays, the #officewindow tag's brief return and Rare's inventive 2009 bonfire from the annual on-site bash. November was a HOTBED OF ACTIVITY.
Elsewhere a spirited debate began over which town we can actually see from the top floor windows, we fired off our first tweet from the Xbox 360 when the latest system update went out, and we gave away Banjo-Kazooie XBLA codes for things like "who had the most exciting weekend" and "who can find the most interesting thing related to the number 600" (in honour of our 600th post, obviously).
Hot list action saw Rare/Ultimate titles appear in 3D World's 3D Milestones in Gaming and Game Informer's When Movie-To-Game Goes Right (okay, technically not November, but still) while Natal was declared better than teleportation (see #5) by Time Magazine. Then Games™ did a big Rare feature story and cover (buy it now, kids) and to round off the month we assured people that just because we weren't in a position to mouth off about Perfect Dark XBLA every day didn't mean it was cancelled or anything. It's still set for 'winter', ambiguous release date fans.
So there you go. We may make this a regular thing, as frankly there's not much else to fill the website with right now. Or we may never do this again. Then you'll be sorry. |
