17/12/09: Banjo-Kazoomie
As you couldn't possibly have heard somewhere already, Banjo and Kazooie are back on the scene and back in the driving seat for their appearance in the upcoming Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing. |
|
Being Xbox 360 natives nowadays you won't be surprised to find that they're exclusive to the 360 version of the game, even going so far as to score a cover spot and title mention: Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing with Banjo-Kazooie. Nice.
The bear and bird are of course old hands/paws/wings at this sort of thing, making their game debut way back in 1997's Diddy Kong Racing and getting back behind the wheel for both Banjo Pilot and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts in the intervening years. This time around they'll be competing in their custom-built Bolt Bucket vehicle against the likes of Sonic, Knuckles, AiAi, Amigo and a host of other unexpected petrolheads from big SEGA franchises.
Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing also features a second Rare connection with the inclusion of Avatars, which appear in fully playable form and can take part in races by jumping into the 'Avacar'. That's good. We like that.
So all in all the game promises masses of SEGA-themed racers and tracks, power-ups, unique All-Star moves and an exclusive helping of Honey Bear and Breegull – sounds good to us. Probably won't contain much platforming though, so don't ask. It's due out in early 2010 and you can find out plenty more at www.sega.com/sonicracing. |
